Dubious towards newcomers, River City in Iowa welcomes Harold Hill who moonlights as a traveling sales agent but Harold is a not as honest as he appears. He is actually a fraudster getting ready to swindle the town’s people out of their hard-earned cash.
His diabolical plan is to convince River City that he is a music professor selling musical instruments and uniforms. Creating a state of confusion the mastermind persuades the city that the arrival of a new pool table will corrupt the City’s people and that they must create a boy’s group instead. Of course to start a boy’s band you need gear and clothing and this exactly what Harold is supposedly marketing but has no intention of ever honoring his promise.
Almost every story must come with a a hindrance and the cast deliver Marian Paroo in impressive style. She tracks down the knowledge to accuse Harold but somehow she has a change of mind when she witnesses Harold’s appeal.
This awe-inspiring tale will untangle on stage in front of your eyes to the impressive melodies of "Ya Got Trouble", "Seventy Six Trombones", and "The Sadder But Wiser Girl" but you have to buy your tickets here before they’re all gone.
