Set in the American Midwest, a story of deception and passion comes to the stage. The protagonist Harold Hill, a con artist comes to a town of unaware people. The town is called River City and to make his money in a sleazy way Harold must convince the people that they must buy uniforms and instruments in order for the place to start a boy’s musical group.
Harold has no intention to deliver on his trade but the unsuspecting don’t know that yet. It was a impervious scheme until a very smart Librarian and Piano teacher, Marian Paroo gets concerned. As she is about to spill the beans to the victims about his duplicitous plan, something unusual happens.
She finds herself falling in love with the rather charming likable Harold who aids her brother with a speech impediment and social anxiety problem with the arrival of a new instrument.
