Story

The Mamma Mia story takes place on a fictional Greek island, where Sophie will soon marry her fiance, Sky, and have her father to walk her down the aisle. Her mother and her, Donna, a former rockstar of Donna and the Dynamos, don’t know who Sophie’s father is, and Donna doesn’t divulge much information. Sophie looks for details and discovers three possibilities whom she invites to the island without telling Donna. 

Donna is astonished to see her three former partners arrive together as fresh feelings ignite between her and Sam. In the process of Sophie figuring out which man is her father, she begins reconsidering her upcoming wedding, wondering if it is the right choice at 20 years old.

Catherine Johnson crafted this Mamma Mia Broadway dance-worthy musical to make a story out of ABBA’s discography.
